Dmitriy Pisaruk is a Russian producer, founder, and CEO of Kinoman Film Company. His most notable projects include “Married Life Scenes,” “Silver Spoon,” and “Silver Spoon in Sochi.”
Even though Dmitriy earned an Economics degree at Belgorod University, located in the Russian outback, his fascination with cinematography outweighed his education. Thanks to his skill in bringing together talented, creative, and ambitious individuals around him, Dmitriy has successfully executed over 50 projects since 2004.
Dmitriy started his career with “The Bachelors,” a TV series inspired by “Sex and the City.” During his first project, Dmitriy was accompanied by Dmitriy Dobuzhinsky’s Park Production and Alexander Akopov’s Amedia. However, it was not until 2010 when he finally took on the role of chief producer with “The Provocateur,” a TV series for REN TV, a major Russian broadcasting network.
Around that time, Dmitriy showed interest in creating short movies alongside full-scale TV series. His first step was “The Trumpet,” which was praised by the jury at the Kronstadt Festival. In no time, another short story gained recognition: “The Victory Day,” directed by Igor Grinyakin, was awarded the best short film at the Kinopriz competition. In 2020, Dmitriy returned to experimental projects and presented “The Superdeep,” a story about the Kola Superdeep Borehole, which involved unique and complex animatronics created by Russian designers and engineers.
In 2021, a new series under Dmitriy’s production was launched. Not only did “Married Life Scenes” air on the KION streaming service but also made it to the top 3 best-selling Russian projects abroad. The same year, Dmitriy associated and consulted on “Fischer” in its early stages of development, run by 812 Film Company.
During the pandemic, Dmitriy worked on season 4 of “Silver Spoon,” which was released later in 2022. The same year, Dmitriy also worked on “Silver Spoon in Sochi,” a feature film under the same franchise. Both TV series and the movie were so popular that they were even sold to Netflix and held their place at the top of ratings in Russia for four months straight, receiving the Golden Button award from Kinopoisk.
Another project that Dmitriy cherishes is “Golem,” an upcoming Holocaust war drama. The production includes big names such as Aleksandr Tsekalo and his Sreda production company, Roman Abramovich as a sponsor, Alexander Kott as the director, Eduard Galkin as an actor, Vladislav Opeliants known for “Petrov’s Flu” as a cameraman, and many more.
In 2023, a pilot episode of his “In Short, This is the Plan” was presented at the Pilot festival. The new adventure series tells the story of a Russian hacker group and was filmed in various climates and landscapes by Russian-Egyptian Morad Abdel-Fattah and directed by Mark Gorobets (Zakrytaya Shkola).
After almost 20 years in cinematography, Dmitriy finally decided to unveil his potential and founded Kinoman film company in 2022. Dmitiry treats Kinoman as one of his great achievements and devotes his time and effort to a recently founded company.
